My Personal Fitness Journey
I have always been interested in fitness and nutrition which gave me an edge playing sports growing up. This led to a scholarship playing D-1 soccer right out of high school. My passion really kicked off when I decided to join the Marine Corps as an infantryman where all areas of fitness were crucial to be successful.
Once out of the Marines I studied dietetics and exercise science at UTC and received my bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance. While at UTC I trained for and completed the Chattanooga Ironman Triathlon because I wanted to challenge myself in an area that I did not have much experience.
Once I graduated college I became a personal trainer so I could both integrate fitness in my life as much as I could, and to share the knowledge that I gained through my own journey with people wanting to start a fitness journey of their own. After years of training myself and clients I decided to see how far I could push myself and competed in an NPC men’s physique bodybuilding competition where I placed 1st and 2nd in my two divisions.
Now I continue to train, push myself, increase my knowledge, and expand my understanding of the human body and what it is capable of.
Philosophy
We are given one body in this life to experience the world we live in. To get the most out of our experience on earth we have to take care of the vessel that allows us to navigate it.
Resistance is always the path for growth, without uncomfortable resistance you stay the same physically, mentally, and spiritually. Pursuing something that makes you grow takes courage and is the ultimate form of self-respect. The purpose of life is the pursuit of growth, not to reach a destination.
Every peak that you reach allows you to see other mountains to climb that you could not even comprehend before and becomes the stepping stone that launches you into the next adventure.
When you workout you’re not just exercising, you are taking control of your life. You’re unlocking better versions of yourself, you show up when you don’t want to and try again when you fail, and you become a more resilient human, both physically and mentally. No one can give it to you but you, and it is life changing.


My Why
The “why” is the most important question to ask yourself when you embark on your fitness journey. It is the thing that you remind yourself when your brain tells you to quit, to wait until tomorrow, begs you to stop when you are a little uncomfortable, and gives you permission to go off the rails when you are slightly off plan. The stronger the “why” the farther you will go.
My why has evolved over the years but the strongest one that I have found is picturing what life will look like in my last decade when the only thing I am surrounded by is my family. What example will I be to my kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids? I will be the result of the life that I have lived, either full of excuses or of daily decisions to pursue growth. My kids listen to what they see me do so much more than what I tell them and I want to set the standard of what is possible. Begin with the end in mind and never forget your “why”.

During our free consultation, we will talk about your history, goals, perceived barriers, limitations, and schedule, and set a plan to integrate an exercise regimen into your daily routine or enhance the one you are currently on.
Your program will include a periodized workout routine, a meal plan that fits your specific calorie and macronutrient requirements, complete app access to record your fitness journey, and continuous communication with a certified personal trainer to answer any questions you have at any time. Everything is personally designed for your lifestyle and will be based on time tested principles as well as new innovative methods that have been proven to lead to results.
